Abraham was sitting in his doorway during the heat of the day, when the LORD appeared to him. (Gen. 18:1).  Abraham sitting in the door paints a picture in my mind of abiding in Jesus, who IS the door.  When Abraham looked up, three men were standing by him.  His eyes were opened spiritually, and by divine revelation he could SEE THE FULLNESS OF THE LORD.  He said, “My Lord, if NOW I have found favor in Your sight, DO NOT PASS away.” (Gen. 18:3).  It is as though Abraham is saying, “God I have been abiding in You, waiting for my appointment so You can speak to me.  Lord, I do not want to miss my instructions in this new season of my life. Please do not let there be a transition without me.”

God spoke and reminded Abraham that what he had been waiting for would appear at the set time.  When Abraham’s wife, Sarah, heard these words, she laughed.  God then said to Abraham and Sarah, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?  At the time APPOINTED, I will return unto you, according to the time of life.” (Gen.18:14).

If God has promised you something, He has a set time for it to appear in the earth.  Do not murmur or complain to God about His timing.  That will cause delay and possibly your demise.

Right now, please allow the LORD to deal with your soul, your mind, your will, and your EMOTIONS.  You surely do not want to miss your set time.  The wounds of your soul can cause you to speak wrong words that get you out of alignment with the season you are in.  Be honest with God and allow Him to heal those wounds.  God is bringing us into new paradigms of thinking so we will be free to fulfill our destinies.  Do not let a damaged attitude keep you from your next season.
