Reputation Of Wisdom

“And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon,
to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart”.

(2 Chrn. 9:23)

What are you known for?  We all have a reputation, whether good or bad.  When people speak of you, are they able to say that you have a reputation for wisdom?  Do people seek you out for your wisdom?  This is a serious question to ponder.

ALL the kings of the earth at the time of Solomon sought his presence.  All the kings of the earth wanted an audience with Solomon to access him for his wisdom, his gift from God.  Only God could put this wisdom (from the tree of life) in his heart.  The Hebrew word for heart is “leb” ( לֵ ב )
ל = lamed 12th letter
ב = beth 2nd letter

The word for heart is found in Strong’s Concordance (3820).  Your heart represents your feelings, intellect, memories, reflections and your knowledge.

Solomon is considered the wisest man who ever walked the face of the earth.  One night Solomon had a dream.  God came to him in his dream and said, “Ask what I shall give you” (I Kings 3:5).  Solomon’s reply was, “Give me an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and bad:” (I Kings 3:9).  The saying pleased the Lord so He gave Solomon a wise and understanding heart; so that there was none like him, before him, or after him.

Wisdom is to be asked directly of God.  “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5).

Wisdom is the principal thing in this life.  With all our getting we are to get understanding.  Wisdom is greater than anything you can desire in this life.  Nothing can be compared to wisdom.  Wisdom is PRICELESS.  Wisdom rests in the heart of a man or a woman who has understanding.

Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, and is granted to those who ask Him for it.  Sadly, wisdom is unknown to worldly leaders. (I Cor.2:7-8).  We must stop trying to find Godly wisdom from those who operate in devilish, sensual, and earthly wisdom.  Their ways lead to death.

TRAITS THAT REVEAL YOU HAVE WISDOM

 To be counted as wise, we must begin to build a reputation for wisdom and possess certain traits.  A picture of true wisdom is this: “Never brag or boast about what you have done and you’ll prove that you’re truly wise” (James 3:14)(TPT).  But, if there is bitter jealousy or competition hiding in your heart, then don’t deny it and try to compensate for it by boasting and being phony” James 3:15)(TPT).

“Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others.  It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced” (James 3:18)(Msg).

The wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable.  It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form; it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness.  Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace” (James 3:17)(TPT).

Wisdom Is God’s Heart

 The first letter of the Torah of God starts with the beth ( ב ).

The last letter of the Torah, Deut. 34, ends with the lamed ( ל ).  As I previously wrote, the word for heart is “leb” ( לֵב ). Hebrew is read from right to left. Combining the last letter of the Torah and the first letter of the Torah we see the word “heart.” The Torah of God from the beginning to the end is a picture of the heart and wisdom of God.

With love,

P/Karen
