NEAR DISASTER

A Word From Karen...

“A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you.”
(Ps. 91:7) (MKJ)

We experienced a deadly tornado hitting parts of North Nashville, TN in the late afternoon of Saturday Dec. 9, 2023.

The building where we hold our church gatherings is part of several adjoining businesses in an industrial complex in Madison, TN. The business immediately to the left of us was nearly destroyed and the business behind us, severely damaged. Two businesses across the street from us were literally turned into rubble.

The miracle of God in this situation is that our building, which we share with Power House Ministries, was left virtually untouched, with only minor damage to a couple of windows, a shutter and a planter outside the main door. The windows that were damaged were double-paned, with the inner pane being undamaged and thus keeping the rain and wind from reaching any of the interior. As far as we know right now, there has not been any other problems with the building except for the temporary loss of electrical power due to downed utility poles and lines. To us, this is an obvious sign from Heaven that we were “passed over” (Exod. 12:27).

Being without electricity, we did cancel our Sunday morning gathering.  We have been informed by Dr. Sandy Powell of Powerhouse Ministries that, “Nashville Electric Service anticipates restoration of power by the end of this week. We don’t know if this means we will have full service yet, but the lines are supposed to be up and ready to carry electricity.”

REGARDING WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERVICE

We will hold our Wednesday night service of Dec. 13, 2023 using our conference call telephone number, as we did during the early days of Covid. That number is: 1-267-807-9605, Access Code: 167848#.  We will start the call at 7:00 p.m. CST.  We will not be able to have our regular praise and worship due to the circumstances, but the teaching will go forth.

We will send you notice regarding this upcoming Sunday morning gathering when we have further information.

Thank you for your patience during this trial. This whole situation is, of course, completely out of our control. I actually had a dream about ten days ago, where I saw a tornado hit the deck on our “house”. The tornado came but left without being able to destroy the deck. The foundation remained whole and strong.  Little did I know this would literally happen to the church.

Please be comforted as the Lord is with us, and is leading us day by day.

We love you all and pray you are comforted during this trial. We ask for your prayers for us, as well.

With Much love,

P/Karen
