It is not the spiritual life which came first, but the physical and then the spiritual. (1 Cor.15:46) Concerning the Feasts of the Lord, we should study to understand the Feasts as prophetic types and shadows revealing the first and second coming of the Messiah. There is hidden truth in the study of each of the Feasts. These truths must be mined, literally dug out like gold and silver. “Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for the gold where they find it. Iron is taken out of the earth, and molten out of the stone.” (Job 28:1-2)
There is a refining process after gold and silver are mined. When mined, the gold and silver are not pure. Gold and silver are mixed with rock (ore). The ore is crushed into smaller pieces then ground to powder. This process reveals valuable metals that are hidden inside. The Lord allows pressure and fire in our lives to break down the outer layers and bring forth that which is valuable.
The Lord allows the trials and the fire to bring impurities to the top. “He sits as a refiner and a purifier of silver” (Mal. 3:3).
The Lord is refining and shaping his people for fresh assignments and purpose. As stated earlier, first the natural, then the spiritual. In the natural, crushing exposes the valuable material. The fire brings out the impurities so we may be refined and purified. So it is with us, his body, that we may be transformed and assume new assignments and purpose.
Hidden Truth in The Feast of Passover
Join us Wednesday night, as we observe the first night of the Feast of Passover. We will mine the gold contained in Ex. 12: 8-10 regarding eating the body and the blood of the lamb. We will explore the refining process.
Hope to see you then.
Blessings,
P/Karen
