“Wisdom is the most valuable commodity – so buy it! Revelation knowledge is what you need – so invest in it”
(Prov. 4:7) TPT
You are not a prisoner of your circumstances unless you chose to be. The changes you need to see today begin with you making a choice. If the Lord created us in His image and commanded us to take dominion, then He has given us all the keys of wisdom we need to become champions and to not remain victims.
The Lord wants you to be successful, and success is a choice. Success does not mean fame and fortune or even an accumulation of things.
There are many different words for wisdom in Hebrew. One is the word “sakal” meaning, among many things, “success.” This word for wisdom can be found in I Chronicles 22:12. “Only the Lord give you wisdom/sakal and understanding….”. King David spoke these words to Solomon before he began to build the Temple.
We receive wisdom by asking for wisdom and seeking wisdom. Obedience to that command will cause you to rule under the revelation of God.
To walk in the true success of God will cost you something. It costs you to become a champion. I heard it once said that you must enter the arena of conflict. If you want to be productive and operate in the highest level of wisdom, it will take energy, focus, time and risks.
It takes time to absorb new information. You and I must be willing to leave comfortability and invest in the knowledge of God.
Receiving revelation knowledge for our next step may be painful. As we take time sitting quietly with the Lord, He reveals errors in our thinking. If there are distortions and prejudices being revealed, at any time of weakness, we may refuse to acknowledge it and fail. Beware of depersonalizing everyone into a rival when you must face errors within you.
If our belief system is not producing what we want and need, our belief system has to change.
Success has a price, and failure has a price. When men questioned Thomas Edison about some of his unsuccessful attempts with his work on the electric light bulb, he is quoted as saying, “I have not failed 10,000 times-I’ve successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.”
Don’t ignore failure. Today is the day to look at any failure and let it be your teacher. We must learn from the failures and overcome.
Wisdom/sakal means to become an expert, to be a success, have knowledge and to have skill. Wisdom will begin to lead you to recovery.
