The Hebrew new year 5786 will begin at sundown on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025 and end on the evening of Sept. 24, 2025. This time period we are in is called “Teshuvah”, which means to repent or return. This time of repentance began on the first day of Elul and concludes at Yom Kippur marking the 40th day of a time of self-examination.
I am focusing on the 6th letter of the Hebrew alphabet called the vav. The vav is a picture of a hook or a nail. The vav symbolizes connection and joining. The hooks which were used to hang the curtains in the tabernacle were hooks of shittim wood covered with silver. Silver represents redemption. Some of the hooks were gold, representing God’s divinity and purity. Without the hooks, the framework was not complete.
The Messiah is as the vav, the connector who restores creation back to its original purpose. He is the vav who connects Heaven and Earth.
In studying the Book of Nehemiah 3:2, we see the sentence starts with the word “And”. The word “And” is used to join and connect. In Hebrew the word “And” is a vav. There are 26 clauses in Ne. 3 that begin with a vav. 26 is the numerical value of the name Yehovah. If we know what to look for, we see hidden mysteries in the Bible revealing the Messiah. We cannot succeed without the Messiah or without the godly connectors in our lives.
LOOKING FOR “SIX”
The word of God is filled with much information on the number six. You can research this yourself and have the Lord reveal much to you over this next year. Six is the number of man. Six days man is to labor then rest on the Sabbath. The sixth commandment Exod.20:13 states that you shall not murder. There is so much more.
2nd Timothy And the number Six
In 2nd Timothy, Chapter 2, there are six similitudes that the servant of the Lord is compared to:
- A soldier (champion, warrior) (2 Tim. 2:3);
- An athlete (one who contends in a competitive game) 2 Tim. 2:5;
- A farmer (husbandman, land worker) 2 Tim. 2:6;
- A minister (teacher) 2 Tim. 2:15;
- A vessel (instrument) 2 Tim. 2:21;
- A servant (one in subjection) 2 Tim. 2:24
May this new year be your year of greater connection with Heaven.
