THE FEAST OF SHAVUOT

A Word From Karen...

“And you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks, that is the first fruits of the wheat harvest” (Exodus 34:22)

Milk & HoneyWe invite you to join us this Sunday at Olive Tree Connections as we celebrate the Feast of Shavuot/Pentecost.  For those who are new to Hebraic teachings, we invite you to come and learn new and exciting things about this Feast.

Many think that the Feasts are only for the Jewish people, but the Feasts are not Jewish, but are for all who believe.  They are the Feasts of Jehovah.  The reason for the Feasts is for all (Jew and Gentile) to understand the role of Messiah Yeshua.  The Feasts are a picture of the first and second coming of the LORD. The Feasts are a shadow of the wonderous things to come.  We are to study the Feasts to understand the depths of the relationship we are to have with The Father, with The Son, and with The Holy Spirit.

We benefit greatly to understand that the Feasts of Jehovah reveal the deep relationship the LORD desires to have with us personally.  More than anything in this world, the LORD desires for us to BE WITH HIM.

It’s interesting and beneficial to know that Shavuot (Pentecost) is also called the Atzeret.  Atzeret is the term used for the conclusion to the Passover.  One of the definitions of Atzeret in Hebrew indicates a “conclusion.”  Atzeret also means “staying back, and remaining.”  What a passionate God we serve!  As the first Shavuot is a picture of a wedding, Atzeret is indicative of God’s invitation to remain with HIM.

It is customary to celebrate Shavuot with dairy products because the Torah of God is like the milk and honey in Song of Solomon 4:11. Moses was commanded to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt into the land flowing with milk and honey. (Exod. 3:8).

Come!  Let’s explore how to get to, and live in this land of abundance.

We will be enjoying cheesecake and beverages as we fellowship together after the meeting.

We look forward to seeing all of you this Sunday.

Love,

P/Karen
