A Word From Karen

KNOW YOUR WEAPON – A Study On Your Assignment

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hos. 4:6)

On Tuesday February 28, 2022, I went before the LORD in prayer asking Him what He would have me teach during my Wednesday night gathering at OTC. I wanted to start preparing a day earlier than usual because I would be going to the morning Worship City Alliance monthly gathering on Wednesday March 1, 2022 and didn’t want to feel pressured just prior to our regular Wednesday evening meeting. A word was revealed to me about being nameless and faceless. (See story below). The reason I am sharing this information is because on that particular Wednesday, the entire Worship City Alliance of Nashville honored Dr. Francis Myles and his wife Carmela into the city. His topic was on nameless and faceless people being used to usher in the harvest.

During our ongoing  OTC study on “Assignment,” I was led by the Spirit of the LORD to Acts 8 where the deacon Philip had fled Jerusalem because of persecution and began to preach in the regions of Samaria. Because of Philip, crowds of people listened to the message of the Messiah and witnessed the miraculous through him. Many people with evil spirits were delivered and the paralyzed and lame were healed. Because Philip was preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom, many people were baptized. We can see that God used Philip mightily in initiating a revival.

OBEDIENCE AND BOUNDARIES

When the apostles heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God’s message, they sent Peter and John there.  When the apostles prayed, the people were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Phillip the deacon had a completely different assignment from the apostles, otherwise he too could have laid hands on the people to receive the Holy Spirit. After testifying and preaching the Word of the LORD in Samaria, Peter and John went back to Jerusalem. Please meditate on this for a moment. A great revival was going on in the region of Samaria, but the apostles knew not to stay beyond their assigned time.

As for Philip, during that great revival the angel of the LORD spoke to him. The angel gave Philip explicit instructions to depart. Please note, a Heavenly instruction is not a just a good idea, it is a command from God. Philip is being obedient to his assignment by progressive revelation. He does not argue with God stating that he can’t leave his post in Samaria because people are being saved, delivered, and healed. The angel said “ARISE. “(Acts 8:26)  Through research into the roots of this word “ARISE”, you will find it means: “Be raised up again, be resurrected again.” You must die to self and obey God’s instruction. Though this deacon was operating in a high level of God’s anointing and was used to start a revival, he is now receiving direction to leave and go into a realm where he will be nameless and faceless.

The angel of the LORD told him to go to “Gaza.” Gaza in the Hebrew language means “strength.”  Gaza becomes the root word “uzzah.”  The Hebrew letters that spell “uzzah” are the ayin ע
(16th letter) and the zayin ז (7th letter) עֹז.

Remember Hebrew is read for right to left. Ayin is a picture of an eye representing seeing and knowing.  The zayin is a picture of a weapon.  Combined the word for strength means “To Know A Weapon.”

As I prayed over this word and what the Spirit of the LORD was revealing to me, it was shown to me that the weapon Philip had to know was “humility.” He had to be willing to go forth from a great work in the earth that the Lord used him to start, to a region where he was nameless and faceless. When the angel said, “Arise” he is showing him he must be dead to self and enter a new and higher spiritual realm in the earth. To be nameless and faceless, one must understand death to self. Because he was dead to self, he was sent to the highest ranking director/officer of the treasury of Ethiopia. A great ruler of finance was converted because of Philip. This Ethiopian’s conversion could have led to the conversion of a whole nation. Because of his obedience to every instruction, Philip then entered into another realm of glory as was evidenced in his being “translated” to his next assignment.

There is much more in this story below its root meaning, but the point of this word today is that the principal leader of a revival unhesitatingly accepted his new instructions. He didn’t try to alter, upgrade or improve on the command from God. He didn’t disobey or even hesitate because he enjoyed fame from his peers. He was instead sent into the desert as a nameless, faceless person.

Lord, thank you for your daily grace extended to us to cause us to walk in our prescribed limits and boundaries.

Love,

P/Karen
