“You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fulness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalm 16:11)

There is a place in our walk with the Lord called the path of life. Today I am writing this as a prayer for all of you who receive the newsletter. This path of life can only be shown to you by the Lord Himself. Psalm 16 says that in that path is fullness of joy. Question: Do you have joy today, and how do you know you do?
Righteousness, peace and joy are signs of the Kingdom of God operating in your life. Has the news media caused you great grief? Are you being distracted from the quiet time needed to hear the voice of the Lord personally? I pray today that you learn to enter into His presence at the strait gate which leads to life. (Matt. 7:14). Stay focused. Jesus said that there are only a few that find it.
David understood in his writing of Psalm 23 that it was God who led him in the paths of righteousness. Interestingly, the paths of righteousness are revealed as a circular, revolving track. A revolving circular track is a picture of right (correct) cycles. If we are walking in the path of life, we arrive in the right place, at the right time, at the right hour. For instance, Acts 3 reveals a man, lame from his mother’s womb who was laid daily at the gate of the temple called Beautiful. Beautiful means to belong to the right hour or season. It happened that Peter and John were entering the temple at the same time. This “co-incidence” led to his healing. Over many years and for many times, I have seen this “co-incidence” in my own life. The favor I have experienced over the years has come from my being on the path of life.
Solomon wrote that God lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them who walk uprightly. He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of His saints. “Then shall you understand righteousness, and judgment and equity; yes, every good path” (Prov. 2:7-9).
Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. (Hebrews. 12:12-13) (NKJV)
Getting into your God-chosen spiritual path of life can only be done by the Spirit of the Lord. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, sayeth the Lord” (Zec. 4:6).
