“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people”
(Prov.14:34)
We have a God-given privilege to be able to vote in the United States of America. We are to continually pray for our leaders. I am part of a National Prayer Call that prays 7 days a week for this country and her leaders. Supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, must be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. (I Tim. 2:1)
I have heard believers say that they will not vote in this election. That is hard to hear. CBN just published a report in the last week “More than 30 M Christians Could Sit Out 2024 Presidential Election. Upwards of 104 million people of faith-including some 32 million self-identified Christians who regularly attend church services — are expected to sit out of the 2024 presidential election.”
Our future and our children’s future will be determined by the outcome of this election.
These are the top issues among voters:
- Economy
- Health Care
- Abortion
- Immigration
- Gun Policy
- Supreme Court appointments
- Foreign policy
- Violent Crime
- Racial and ethnic inequality
- Climate change
Please vote, no matter how long you may have to stand in a line, no matter how you judge personalities. Remember “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn” (Prov.29:2). I believe the USA has been in mourning.
Lord, restore a love for the sanctity of life, freedom for religious speech, racial equality, national security, the institution of marriage, integrity and character and a love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Seek the Lord in prayer for wisdom and truth, as you VOTE.
