A Word From Karen

WHY AM I NOT HEALED?

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
(3 John 1:2)

Weeks ago, I sent out a newsletter called “Expect Restoration.”  The focus was on rebuilding the Temple and speaking to the mountain to be removed.  Zechariah spoke to Zerubbabel instructing him to shout to the mountain, “Grace, grace,” and it would become a molehill.  Jesus said the same to his disciples and is saying likewise to us.

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to the mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23)

There is a second part to this decree from the Lord.

“And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25).

“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:26).

Our healings are blocked because of unforgiveness in our souls.

What does unforgiveness do to our physical bodies?

EXAMPLES OF UNFORGIVENESS AFFECTING YOUR BODY

Researching John Hopkins University Medicine, I discovered that “Chronic anger puts you into a fight-or-flight mode, which results in numerous changes in heart rate, blood pressure and immune response.  Those changes, then, increase the risk of depression, heart disease and diabetes, among other conditions.  Forgiveness, however, calms stress levels, leading to improved health.”1

The physical effects of unforgiveness can weaken your immune system.  People with weakened immune systems can have aching joints, digestive issues, stress, loss of hair, headaches, sinusitis and fluctuations in their weight.

Unforgiveness can affect the hippocampus in the brain, which is where memory is stored.

There are a multitude of medical reports proving that unforgiveness negatively affects, not only your physical body, but your soul.

Right Now, ask yourselves these questions.  Do I feel that I’m stuck, that I can’t move forward?

Unforgiveness looks as though it has the power to hold on to your physical body, locking you in a prison from which you can’t escape.

THE KEY TO YOUR HEALING

Forgiveness is the key to your healing.  You forgive, not because you feel like it.  You forgive out of obedience to the command of Jesus Christ.  Forgiveness is an attitude of your heart.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)

My deepest desire is to see all of God’s people healed.

Blessings,

P/Karen
