PERSONAL TESTIMONY
In February, 2021, I was in McDonough, Georgia with Dr. Francis Myles, Robert Henderson and Katie Souza at the “Courts of Heaven” conference. As I was absorbing the teachings on Idols, I did not realize the depths of what was happening to me until the last hour of the conference.
When I walked outside to return to my hotel, I saw what I thought were car lights flashing around me. I didn’t think anything of it, until the flashes continued on the ride back to the hotel. The phenomonon continued into the next day and on the plane ride home. It would not cease. We had just learned at the conference that idols are deaf, dumb, blind, and crippled. Psalm 135:16 says that “Idols have mouths, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not.” Since idols cannot “see, hear, speak or walk”, they have to use our bodies to manifest such un-natural symptoms as I was experiencing.
This was a huge revelation for me, because it meant that the LORD was revealing to me for the first time I could remember, that there was an idol in my life. Until I heard the truth at the conference, I had NEVER experienced anything like this – ever. Upon my arrivel back home, my husband encouraged me to go to an eye doctor immediately, something I did not want to do. My husband calmly explained that my symptoms could be a sign of something very serious, such as a detached retina.
After I agreed to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist, I was on a phone call with Dr. Myles. He took me into the Courts of Heaven regarding my eyes. We dealt with all generational idolatry in my blood line. One hour before my eye appointment I began to re-read Dr. Myles’ book, Issuing Divine Restraining Orders from the Courts of Heaven, in which he teaches on Satan’s legal entry into the life of Job. Remember, Job said that the thing that he greatly feared had come upon him (Job 3:25-26). What was it that Job feared? Job feared that his children would sin against the Lord and they would die (Job 1:5).
As I was reading the story of Job, the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit. He told me that I had a spirit of fear concerning my own children. This spirit of fear had become an idol in my life and opened the door for my abnormal eye condition. Once I understood fully that the source of the attack on my eyes was an idol, I repented, asked for forgiveness, and chose to sow a sacrificial financial offering into the kingdom of God.
As I entered the physician’s office, I was told by the doctor’s assistant that what I described to them could be serious. I began to pray and stand against the spirit of fear. I reminded the LORD that I had repented of the exposed idol. I then expected to receive a good report from the doctor. The doctor began a very thorough examination, and after what seemed like an eternity said to me, “Mrs. Johnson, I find nothing wrong with your eyes.” This is a testimony of the power of the information I learned in Atlanta. I eagerly saved the medical records to validate and remind myself of my testimony.
