GOD CAN’T LIE

A Word From Karen...

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not MAKE IT GOOD” (Num. 23:19)

Integrity

When God speaks, He doesn’t lie.  His Words do not bring deception, they don’t disappoint and they don’t ever end in failure.  The Lord does not give a Word and then take it back.  God’s Words come to pass in His perfect set time.  This message is a reminder to those of us at Olive Tree Connections of a word I gave after Nov. 3, 2020.  While I was watching the results of the election on Nov. 3, 2020, I began to sense uneasiness and warfare.

God gives the gift of discernment, which is one of the gifts of the Spirit recorded in I Cor.12:10.  I have walked with the LORD for many, many years and as He says, “My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me” (John 10:27).

It was the early hours of Nov. 4, that I clearly heard the voice of the LORD.  He whispered to me “Adonijah.”  Please study the Scriptures for yourself in I Kings Chapter 1.  The Word says that Adonijah exalted himself saying “I will be king” (I Kings 1:5).  Adonijah, however, was not the legitimate or chosen King.  He was the next in line to sit on the throne, but he was not the one God had chosen through the decree of King David.

The Book of Isaiah reveals characteristics of our enemy we know as Satan (Accuser).  “How are you fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For you have said in your heart, (1) I will ascend into heaven, (2) I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: (3) I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (4) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; (5) I will be like the most High” (Isaiah 14:12-14).

We can see through the Scriptures how the enemy thinks.  He reveals himself through pride, selfish ambition and self-exaltation.  But he always overplays his hand.  The Lord says, “Yet you shall be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit” (Isaiah 14:15).

Adonijah, who was not the rightful king, had an inauguration and took the seat of the throne.  Bathsheba, King David’s wife and Solomon’s mother said, “And NOW, Adonijah reigns” (I Kings. 1:18).  As Adonijah and his cabinet were eating and celebrating their hollow victory, they heard the SOUND of a TRUMP-et.   Jonathan came to deliver the news to the unrighteous counterfeits, that king David had made Solomon the king.  In a short period of time, there were two inaugurations resulting in two administrations.  Once Adonijah heard the SOUND of the people celebrating King Solomon, he feared the righteous and rightful King.  Now in fear, he arose and caught hold on the horns of the altar.  His plan to usurp the throne was exposed and foiled.  The true king, the king chosen by God, rightfully assumed the throne.

There was no revenge on Adonijah from King Solomon.  He had mercy on the man Adonijah as he bowed before Solomon.  The king instead commanded him to him, “go to your house.”

This is the word revealed to me by the Lord.  Please, do your research, draw your own conclusions. As for me, I am convinced that God is not a man that he should lie.

With love,

P/Karen
