“Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man?”
Proverbs 20:6 (NKJV)
Faithfulness in our lives must be developed. We must yield to the Lord and allow Him to help us cultivate faithfulness. It is the characteristic of the Lord. “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son.” (I Cor. 1:9) Faithfulness guarantees God’s blessing in our lives. “A faithful man will be richly blessed” (Proverbs 28:20).
As we cultivate faithfulness, we become an example worth following.
When circumstances are uncertain, our faithfulness is revealed.
You and I are to be the leader of one. That means lead ourselves first, then practice doing so every day. It is true that we are what we do daily. Our diet is equally important, as the Apostle Paul says “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (I Cor. 9:27) If we are not consistent and faithful to our own bodies, we can be disqualified.
Faithfulness is formed by our daily decisions, doing what is right when no one is watching. We must be consistent in small things. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much”. (Luke 12:42) Value consistency over visibility.
Through healthy repeated actions, a steady character is developed. We must remain committed through both progress and delay.
God rewards faithfulness.
