DOES ROSH HASHANAH AFFECT US ?

A Word From Karen...

“Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation” (Lev. 23:24).

Today, Tuesday September 7, 2021, we are experiencing a set time of Jehovah (Hebrew Tishrei 1, 5782), known as the “Feast of Trumpets.”  The Feast of Trumpets is known by several other names and themes.  It is also called 1. “Rosh HaShanah” (Head of the Year and Birthday of the World) 2. “Yom Teruah” (the Day of the Awakening Blast) 3. “Ha Melech” (the Coronation of the Messiah) 4. The time of Jacob’s trouble and the birth pangs of the Messiah; 5. The Last Trump. There are several others I won’t list here.

DOES ROSH HASHANAH AFFECT US?

In present times, how does the Feast of Trumpets apply to us spiritually?  This Feast is a time to “shema”(hear), to hear the calling of the Spirit in our lives.  It is the time to be awakened from any spiritual slumber. “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Eph. 5:14). May we not forget that God gifted Moses and Israel with the Torah accompanied by the sound of the shofar (Exod. 19:19).  The sound of the shofar is a call to repentance (Isa. 58:1).

The shofar blast we hear today also serves as a battle cry against the enemy.  Today this sound is to wage war against all things within us that are an enemy of the Messiah.  James 4:4 tells us that flirting with the world’s values places us at odds with God.  Whoever chooses to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy! (TPT)

COME UP HIGHER

Heaven is appealing for us to come up higher today.  May all the obstacles, injuries, soul wounds, wrong teachings, prejudices, etc. be removed from our spirits.  May we be awakened today to HEAR the RIGHT TEACHER (The Holy Spirit).

John the revelator saw a door opened in Heaven: and the first voice which he heard was as a trumpet/shofar talking with him. The voice he heard sounded as a shofar saying “Come up here, and I will shew you things which must be hereafter”(Rev. 4:1).

We will be celebrating Rosh HaShanah this Wednesday evening at OTC with apples and honey as we decree a sweet and prosperous year ahead.  We hope you will join us and invite a guest.

Love,

P/Karen
